When should I start dress shopping?

We recommend that you allow at least 6-7 months before your wedding date to place an order. If you are indecisive then perhaps it would be better if you allowed yourself 3 months to shop around; otherwise a couple of weeks should suffice.

Where are you based and is there parking?

We are based in an old 16th Century flour mill just off Botley high street called Botley Mills. There is car parking available in the mill, however this can be busy mid week. There is free parking in Botley village behind The Dolphin Pub which is only a 2 minute walk from the shop.

Do I need to make an appointment to visit?

Yes you do. We are only a small bridal boutique so we can only see one bride at a time for a private viewing. Therefore, we do not allow browsing of our collection while an appointment is in progress.

How long is my appointment?

Your allocated appointment time is 90 minutes and an hour for your second appointment.

Is the appointment private?

Yes the bridal room is just for you, your guests and the bridal consultant helping you for the duration of your appointment and no-one else is allowed to browse.

Can I bring baby/toddler to my appointment?

You are more than welcome to bring any children with you to your appointment; however there is no lift facility to the bridal room so all pushchairs would need to be left downstairs in our evening wear shop.
Please ensure a friend or family member is able to attend your appointment with you to look after them while you are trying on dresses for their safety.

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

As we are only a small bridal boutique, we recommend bringing only 2-3 people in order to make it a comfortable experience for everyone. You are more than welcome to bring more than this but please bear in mind there is only seating for the above number of guests.

Can I take photos at my appointment?

We have no restrictions on taking photos but phone cameras never do the dresses any justice. We believe taking a video on your phone may give you a better picture of the dress. If you do have a good quality camera, that would be the best option.

What sizes are your samples to try?

We carry sizes 10 -18 and in our plus size collection we have dresses in sizes 20-28.

What price range are your dresses?

Our prices range from £650 to £1995. We also carry samples which can be bought off the peg at a reduced price, the majority of these are priced under £650. Please enquire within for more information.

What is the latest I can order a dress?

Our standard delivery is 16-20 weeks but some of our ranges offer a rush service allowing us to receive your dress within 6-10 weeks. There is an additional charge for this service. You also need to allow for alteration time, therefore the latest date to order a dress without incurring a charge would be 26 weeks before your wedding date.

I have found the dress with you, how do I go about ordering?

We are pleased that we were able to help you find your dream dress. To order a dress with us we would need to measure you to work out the correct size and a 50% deposit would be required to place the order. The other 50% is payable once the dress has arrived with us.

Do you have a bridal seamstress? How close to the wedding will my alteration be? How many fittings will I need and how much will it cost me?

Yes we have our own expert bridal seamstress who will alter only dresses purchased from us for the perfect fit. We will book your alterations 6-8 weeks before your wedding unless you are on a rush delivery. The number of fittings and cost of alterations will be dependent on the dress chosen. Alteration costs are normally between £75-£350.

When do I collect my dress after alterations?

Your final fitting and collection of your dress is usually within 10 days before your wedding unless you have your dress on a rush order then it would be closer to your wedding date.

Do you offer a steaming service?

Your dress and veil will be steamed after your final fitting with our seamstress.

I see you stock a designer I like, if you don't have a particular dress, can you get it in for me to try?

We may be able to borrow a sample dress from our designers at a cost of £35 which will be deducted from the price of the dress if you decide to place an order. Samples provided by the designers are only in selected sizes and colours which we will enquire about for you.
